Rising at the coastal area of the South Road Properties (SRP) is Cebu's newest lifestyle mall called Il Corso. This newest attraction in the city sets in a 10-hectare land developed by Filinvest.
As of this writing, some parts of the mall are already opened including its 4 state-of-the-art cinemas. Few restaurants are already opened as well, some of these are Chikaan, Dessert Factory, Parilya and Fishes Seafood and Wine and Coffee Bean.
The mall's exterior design is very unique and modern. It is not the typical design for a mall that you can see in Cebu or in the Philippines. It has a light house and a beautiful walk way blended to a shallow mini-pool. The light house is not open yet to the public but you can already take pictures with it.
If you are looking at the whole stretch fronting the sea, the mall looks like a beautiful resort within the city. Adding to it is a wide coastal road where you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze while having a morning jog or an afternoon yoga.
There is also a little playground put up for children. However, this playground is just really small and can only accomodate a limited number of children at a time.
To us, there is really nothing special in the interior design of the mall. It is a high ceiling structure that looks very typical with other malls we usually see in the country. There are only very few outlets that have opened inside the mall as of this writing.
If you plan to visit Il Corso, you can ride myBus transit from SM City Cebu from the north or from Starmall area from the South, myBus fare is only around Php25-40. Taxi and Grab are also some of the best alternatives to go there. For those who wants to bring their own car, the mall has good parking spaces available with no charge as of this writing.
