Spreading like wildfire in social media today is the proposed internet rates of Dito Telecommunity, the Philippines' third telco that will challenge the dominance of Smart/PLDT and Globe telecom. The proposed rates of Dito are shared by different pages in facebook associated to the telco.
The rates claimed to be the proposed internet rates of Dito's services are seen to be significantly lower than the current rates of PLDT/Smart and Globe Telecom.
The proposed rates that is spreading in social media right now boasted the excitement of the people about Dito's entry in the market next year. Dito is set to commercially launch its services on March 2021. They were supposed to have their technical launch last July 8, 2020, however Dito missed this target due to Covid-19.
Dito committed to cover 37% of the Philippine population at 27-Mbps minimum internet speed. This commitment requires Dito to build a total of 1,300 cell sites across the country and if they fail to meet this commitment, the national government will seize the Php25-billion peso performance bond.
Within five years, Dito should be able to cover 84% of the country's population and should have increased its minimum internet speed to 55-Mbps.If you like this post don't hesitate to like and share...
